Asset | Study Association for Business & IT is the study association for all Bachelor students in Business Economics (BE), Master students in Information Management (IM), and those interested in the field of Business & IT at Tilburg University. During their studies in Information Management, students explore how IT can be used to achieve strategic, tactical, and operational business goals. Information Management examines the organizational use of information produced by information systems, with IT as the driving force.
Asset | SBIT has three pillars, consisting of study support, career orientation, and social activities. Study support includes summaries and thesis information sessions. We also have an online news platform, IThappens.nu, where students and companies publish articles in the fields of Management and Information Technology.
Members of Asset | SBIT also have the opportunity to explore career options by participating in company events, such as company visits and dinners with companies. During these events, students get a unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a company and see what it would be like to work there. Many of our members find their internships or jobs through these events. We also provide a comprehensive overview of internships and entry-level positions that students can choose from on our career platform.
To ensure that our members have enough opportunities to relax between all the studying and exams, we organize various informal events. We have a Thursday afternoon drink in the rooms of Asset | SBIT (E1.16 & E1.17) where the first drink is free. Additionally, we organize sports events and monthly gatherings in our local pub, De Boekanier. These events provide a great opportunity for fellow students to get to know each other and form new friendships.
