We are STT Hyperion, the Student Table Tennis association of Tilburg.

After 4 years of absence, the association is back with a new board consisting of Yannick Versprille, Feng Gao and Lynn Martens.

We are currently in the start-up phase and searching for new members. We train every Wednesday at the sports center (18: 00-19: 15 and 19: 15-20: 30) under the guidance of Dong Li who herself has played in the Chinese national selection. These trainings are accessible to everyone and also for every level, even if you have never played before. In addition, about once a month we offer an activity such as a tournament, visiting an ‘eredivisie’ league table tennis match or for example going bowling together. Our ambition is to star with a team that will play competition matches next semester. Membership is 15 euros for a year but if you join now there is a special offer: 20 euros for a year including a Tilburg University / Hyperion sport shirt.

On 11-11-2018 Hyperion organizes the Dutch Student Table Tennis Championships in sports complex T-Kwadraat in Tilburg. In the morning there is an individual tournament where the winner can go to the European Championships and in the afternoon there is a team tournament (2-4 players). This tournament is open to all students (participation: € 19 including evening meal and two drinks).
